11 Years of Ekadasi Rudram Chanting in Mauritius

Om Sri Sai Ram

Ekadasi Rudram -

This 1 May 2022 marks the 11th consecutive yearly Ekadasi Rudram in our small island of Mauritius.

After the Maha Samadhi of Bhagawan Shri Sathya Sai Baba, a small team of devotees undertook to complete an Ekadasi Rudram session on 1 May 2011. This first ever Ekadasi Rudram chanting session helped heal the grief of many through the chanting of the Shri Rudram in unison in an attempt to please our beloved Bhagawan.

As years went by, the small team of devotees transformed into Vedam Chanters bringing the Holy benefits of chanting the Shri Rudram throughout the island. 11 sessions of Ekadasi Rudram are being held on a yearly basis across the island.

And the 1st May has been marked in our calendar as being the auspicious day of Ekadasi Rudram chanting in Region 4-Upper Plaines Wilhems, where his presence can be felt. Vibhuti manifestations was revealed at the Shri Sathya Sai Centre of Solferino on 1 May 2012

Thus, 1 May celebrated as Labor Day, turned out to be a holy day dedicated to singing his glory. Despite the Covid-19 pandemic lockdown, Ekadasi Rudram was also performed online in 2021. And this year again...

The Shri Rudram vibrated within the four walls of Anandam, the secretariat of the Sri Sathya Sai Overseas Organisation Mauritius again this Sunday 1 May 2022 morning. In adherence with the sanitary protocol in place, as from 5am, devotees joined to chant the Vedic chants in unison followed by blissful bhajans and Mangala Aarthi.

This third session of Ekadasi Rudram chanting adds to the 2 previous sessions for the year 2022; the first session was performed during the Grand night of Shivaratree on the 1st of March at Anandam, and the second on the 17th of April at Sri Sathya Sai Centre of Goodlands.
