Australia: 2,600kms-38 Volunteers-3 Days - 700 Hearts warmed up this Winter in remote communities

Our members from New South Wales (the most populous state in Australia) contributed generously to our Annual Winter Drive for Aboriginal Communities in remote New South Wales. As part of our appreciation and gratitude to the First Nations people of Australia (the original inhabitants of Australia), our members saved up through the Ceiling on Desires program contributed towards more than 700 winter packs consisting of Blankets, Beanies, Hand Gloves, Socks, Thermos, Hot Water Bottles, Soap and fire starters.

This year, a total of 10 Aboriginal communities in Central and North Western regions of New South Wales on 10th and 11th June 2023 were visited. These communities include Wellington, Gilgandra, Gullagambone & Warren in Central NSW Region and Bourke, Enngonia, Brewarrina, Walgett, Weilmoringle & Collarenebri in North Western NSW Region.
