Nepal- Golden Jubilee Celebration

Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organization Nepal (SSSSON), established in 1973, entered into its glorious 50th year. To mark this historic event, the SSSSON is celebrating Golden Jubilee Celebration throughout the year 2023 with much reverence and fervor with various spiritual activities. The theme adopted is “GRATITUDE: 50 YEARS AT THY LOTUS FEET”. The organization has formed a 3000 plus members’ Golden Jubilee National Celebration Committee.

The inauguration program kick started in Kathmandu on 10 December, 2022 amidst a gathering of 3200 jubilant and euphoric devotees coming from various parts of the country. It was preceded with peace rallies, emanating from different parts of the city led with Bal Vikash Children and devotees clad in local cultural costumes holding placards of Swami’s quotations that converged at the venue. While a National Arts and Craft Exhibition was organized by the women’s wing of the organization, the Sri Sathya Sai Books and Publication Committee of SSSSON showcased in the exhibition over 60 different books, translated and/or published. Back to back, the youth wing organized various value games for observes and outsiders. Blood donation drive was conducted where 36 pint blood was collected. Parallel to all these, food festival was organized by various Sai centers of the country where devotees got to taste various regional delicacies prepared by devotees of different parts of the country. In all, typical jubilation and fair-like ambience exuded that prompted even outsiders to take part in all these activities.

Inside the program hall, logo, especially designed for the Golden Jubilee Celebration, was unveiled. The theme song for Golden Jubilee Year 2023 “Hey Sai Timro Jaya Hos…(O Sai! Hail to You…..)”, sung by Sai youth, was a feast to the ears. “Gratitude” booklet, which includes the quotes related to gratitude from discourses of Bhagwan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, was also unveiled.

Outside Kathmandu, a Spiritual Retreat Camp at Sri Sathya Sai Centre, Bhaluhi, Rupandehi district; Youth Sport Activities at Dhulabari, Jhapa; and Tree Plantation Program at Itahari, Sunsari; were simultaneously inaugurated online from the program hall by ringing the bell.

A video depicting the growth and seva activities of SSSSON for the last fifty years was also displayed in the program.

Narration of experiences of interaction with Bhagawan Baba by various speakers took the devotees back to late sixties/early seventies with many devotee’s eyes brimming with tears reminiscing the good old days when Bhagawan was physically present.

The whole program was also live telecasted through Youtube platform so that many devotees participated online in the divine program.
