Nepal-Youth Empowerment Training Program

An educative guess made nearly a decade ago estimated the number of Sai youth in Nepal at almost 50% of world Sai youth population outside India. This necessitates greater focus on the need of organization activities that encourage youth to come forward. Realizing this fact, Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisaiton Nepal (SSSSON) has been organizing various youth motivating programs, one of which is the Nine Days’ Residential Sri Sathya Sai Youth Empowerment Program. This program, being organized since 2017, has been instrumental in shaping the lives of hundreds of Nepali youths and is extremely popular.

Institute of Sri Sathya Sai Education Nepal organized Nine Days’ Residential Youth Empowerment Program at its training centre, Kathmandu from 14 - 22 October 2022. Despite Covid and prevalent Dengue epidemic, 33 youths enthusiastically took part in the program. Modules included were “His Life & His Message”, “SSS Global Council: Overview & Structure”, “Sri Sathya Sai Baba’s Teaching on Leadership”, “Loving & Effective Communication”, “Team Dynamics”, “SSS Leadership through Self Transformation”, “Stress & Time Management”, “Meeting the Challenges of Youth”, “Project Management”, “Ceiling on Desires”, “Selfless Service and His Works”, “Personality Development” and “Managing Conflicts”.

Highlight of the program was the panel discussions with eminent speakers on topics: “Sri Sathya Sai Baba and His Message”, “Relevance of Sathya Sai Avatar in Contemporary Age”, “Balancing Life Challenges” and “Practicing Ideal Leadership”. Eminent guest speakers with proven leadership in their fields were invited who shared their experiences on topics: “Managing in Adverse Situation” and “Life Challenges of a Rising Leader”. The star attraction was Sri R. J. Rathnakar, Managing Trustee of Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust who talked on “Youth: Torch Bearer of Sri Sathya Sai Organization” on the very auspicious day of Avatar Declaration Day. Final day of the program included Individual Project (Seva) Proposal Presentation by the participants.

The SSSSON includes few participants from outside the organization in every such training programs. As in the past, this year too, such participants were very impressed with Swami’s teachings and expressed their strong commitment to imbibe in their life the teachings of Bhagawan Baba.

The culmination of the program shall be the graduation ceremony of the participants at Prashanti Nilayam in November, 2022.
