Pathway to Prasanthi Pilgrimage-SSSGC Zone 1 ( WI, Canada, USA)
On the most auspicious occasion of Guru Poornima, members of Sri Sathya Sai Global Council, Zone 1, traveled to Puttaparthi in July 2022, marking the first-ever "Pathway to Prasanthi" Parthi Pilgrimage. The week-long sojourn was carefully planned and organized, in close consultation with counterparts in Prasanthi Nilayam, to make the trip a complete experience for the pilgrims.
Devotees engaged in a wide range of activities that included children’s programs, young adult programs, tours of Prasanthi Nilayam, musical offerings, workshops, talks from eminent speakers, and service opportunities, including those related to the First International Medical Camp.
Transformation, incorporating principles of Love, Sacrifice, and Unity, was seen from the outset as a critical aim of the pilgrimage. The spiritual aspirants were fully cognizant of Swami's words about the purpose of a pilgrimage--namely, that one should change for the better due to it.
Following are some personal reflections kindly shared by a few devotees who participated in the pilgrimage. They are highly telling of the atmosphere that prevailed during the week's stay and the deep, blissful impact of the experience.
