South Africa - Grama Seva | Western & Eastern Cape

On the 26th of November 2022, approximately 40 Devotees of the Western Cape Region got together to assemble 130 grocery hampers. The hampers consisted of non-perishable food items and a few hygienic items and were distributed to three different communities. 10 Hampers were handed out to families in need in Rylands, 30 Hampers were distributed around Cravenby, and 90 Hampers were handed out in Khayelitsha.

Due to unforeseen circumstances and safety issues, the distribution of the hampers in Khayelitsha did not occur on the 26th of November but rather on the 21st of January, 2023. On the 21st, 35 Hampers were distributed to members of the Khayelitsha community who are visually impaired or who have other disabilities, and the rest of the hampers were distributed to various other needy families.

Overall, the Seva was carried out smoothly, and many families received the much-needed groceries.
