SSSGC Zone 1 SaiLights Magazine Vol.4
Dear Sai Brothers and Sisters,
We are excited and most privileged to bring you Volume 4 of SaiLights, the magazine of the Sri Sathya Sai Global Council, Zone 1!
We thank Swami for accepting our Volume 3 offering at His Divine Lotus Feet in July 2022; the offering was extra special as it was made under the auspices of Zone 1's first-ever pilgrimage to Prasanthi Nilayam during the week of Guru Poornima.
We are excited to share Volume 4 because it is dedicated to celebrating our beloved Lord - - all He was and is, and all He has given to Humanity during His 97 blessed years on earth. Happy Birthday, Swami!
This issue thus does not contain the magazine's usual Regional- and Center-level activity updates--a buzz with spiritual activity as all are at present--but focuses more on Swami Himself.
As you turn the pages of Volume 4, you will see:
a colorful section on Swami's early years, showing how He set a shining example to mankind from His earliest days
a "must-read" section entitled 97 Years of Pure Love: His Gifts to Us, which offer a bird's eye view of some of the greatest blessings conferred on man by the Sathya Sai Avatar; of particular interest will be a collection of remarks by some of Swami's earliest, most eminent devotees, drawn from an 80th Birthday Tribute
two sets of personal experiences and reflections by devotees, one related to the July Prasanthi pilgrimage and the other to the topic of "Sai-incidences."
other highlights, including a report of the First International Medical Camp; a story of faith and devotion by Dr. Balasubramanyam Karanam; a summary of Zone 1’s wonderful service activities; and a closer look at the ongoing activities of the Sri Sathya Sai Centers of Baltimore (MD), Indianapolis (IN), and Loudoun (VA).
